Welcome back and this is my second video that I am recording today. Earlier I recorded the kit I received for my Cert 3 in makeup and the Design & Apply unit. This one is going to be showing you what I received in my hair styling for beginners kit. This unit was not part of my Cert 3 in makeup at the French Beauty Academy. It’s an additional unit that I enrolled in so I can get a basic understanding of hair styling. I did this back in June- it’s now August. It was a single class. A Wednesday night 5pm to 9pm. They also have an intermediate and advanced class which I would like to do but can’t fit it in at the moment as it clashes with all my other classes. I really need some serious help with hair styling so once I have some more time up my sleeve I’ll look into further training in hair styling. But for today I’m just going to simply show you what we received as part of the unit. I did this unit back in June so I kinda forget what we did but I’m pretty sure we learnt how to do a bit of blow drying and how to do a high secure ponytail and some different types of curls with the straightener. It was just a single night so I need to go back and practice on my own. But for now lets get to the kit.
So this is the kit we received. The bags big but very very basic but does the job and hold everything inside.
So this is the bag- you could put some clips on the top of the lid but it’s pretty flimsy. This is the bag- it’s got these little things here which I guess you can use as the divider but I haven’t done anything with it as I’m probably not going to use this bag. I’ve just left it all there in one big open ‘thing’. We received 6 alligator clips- we also got 2 packs of bobby pins from premium pin company in black and in brown.
so this wasn’t part of the kit. I purchased this one separately and I have one for my own personal use and I really like it so when I saw this I think I got it from Big W I just knew I had to get one for the kit. We got a hairdryer- I don’t know this brand it’s called Silver Bullet but it says it’s a professional hair dryer. I’ve never heard of it but it seems good so far 2000 watts, 4 speeds, 2 heat settings.
So I also got 4 hair brushes- Brushworx Rio Nylon/ Boar Bristle. I don’t know what size that is but we got 4 different sizes so that’s good. I need to take the tags off but I put red marks on it like everything else. We used these brushes with the blowdryer to do lifts and curls- I’m not very good at it I need to practice.
We got this- no idea what it’s called but it’s good for teasing the hair back.
We got 2 combs. And then I think that’s pretty much it.
But yeah I just got some bobby pins in here- this is from when we were doing the ponytails this is what we used to secure the ponytail.
Well that’s it for the hair kit.
Thank you for sticking around and watching all the way through. If you liked what you watched please subscribe to my channel so I know that I’m on the right track and you’d like me to continue making videos. Please any comments below and I’ll make sure to reply. Let me know what you think and what other videos you would like me to do.
I think in the first video I said I was going to record my spray tanning kit next well I went out of order and recorded this Hair Styling for beginners kit so the next one I will record is the spray tanning kit. If the light stays good I’ll continue recording and I’ll show you what I got for my Diploma of Cinemagraphic makeup at the Australian Academy of Cinemagraphic makeup and what I have purchased so far for my professional freelance makeup artist kit.
Well that’s it for now and I hope to see you soon.
Cheers,
Bye!
